Review: Transformers Combiner Wars G2 Skydive Review

Here we have Skydive from the G2 Superion Combiner Wars Set. He is the same as the previous release except now in G2 colors.

He is mostly molded in blue and silver and also painted in silver so you can see the contrasting silver parts. He has a tiny little G2 symbol on his shoulder as there isn't much space to place a larger one. There are some visible silver screws and pins on this shoulders, but they are not bad and kinda blends into his silver paintjob. There are lots of little molded in details all over and it really stands out in silver.

From the side you can see the big backpack and the blocky stubby feet, The entire cockpit and nose is seen from the back. You can really see the contrasting silver colors on the feet.

Size Comparison
Here he is next to voyager Silverbolt, deluxe bumblebee and leader megatron. He is about 14cm tall to the top of his head.

Articulation
The head can turn all the way around, and can look up and down a little bit.
The arms can spin all the way around and can move out at 90. Elbows bend forward 90 and it has a double jointed shoulder that can move down a bit which gives it a greater range of movement. It has no wrist swivel.
It has a waist swivel, and the legs go 90 degrees forward, and backwards and out almost 90 degrees. Knee bends 90 degrees and has a thigh swivel. No articulation on the feet as it is molded into the leg.

Here he is in his jet mode. He is an F-18 figher jet and it looks great. This has a wingspan of 11cm so this makes it an approximate 1:112 scale model. You can see the large robot arms from the top as they are not inset into the body in any way. This is his G2 paint job so he has the G2 symbol, checkered flag pattern and the number 1 on his wing and tailfin. There are lots of panel lines on this jet and it does stand out on the silver grey plastic. The cockpit is clean and doesn't have the annoying seam line going through it like Firefly and Quickslinger.

On the bottom, you see more bulky robot parts just like almost every airplane transformer in existance. The arms are very apparent. and it does not have any landing gear in this mode.

You can put guns on the 5mm hole on the top of the plane which makes it kinda like a Macross Valkyrie. Or you can put it on the wing which make it look strange with the hollow gun.
